| Rehearsal will begin at 9:30 a.m. on May 22nd at E. 91st St. Christian Church. Again this year, we will provide Chick fil-A box lunches so that once you have arrived at the church building, you will not have to leave. Graduate's lunch is included in the fee and you will receive an email in May, inviting you to go online and order additional lunches for other family members. We anticipate a cost of about $4.00 per lunch. You are also welcome to bring a picnic lunch for your family to eat indoors or outdoors on the lovely grounds. The ceremony will be at 2 p.m. In the coming months, we will provide you with a list of area restaurants and hotels for you and family members attending. |
| Graduate photo and one of the entire class is included in the Graduation fee and will be taken during the rehersal time. Additional photo options will be available and all details will be on a form to be sent out in the coming months. |

| GUIDELINES FOR BEHAVIOR AND DRESS: |
| The Statewide Home School Graduation has always been a wonderful time of celebration for seniors, their families, and friends. The ceremony is a Christian focused time with prayer and music that honors our graduates and uplifts God. We hope all home schooled seniors, regardless of their beliefs or faiths will feel welcome to participate. The IFHS board, along with many parent volunteers, are working hard to provide a day all seniors will be proud of and enjoy. To help assure a successful day, the IFHS board requires all seniors and their parents to read the following conditions and agree to uphold the rules of participation: |
| - Show respect for the church facility being used the day of the ceremony. |
| - Be quiet when presentations/speeches are being made. |
| - Show respect for the Graduation Coordinator, all volunteers and staff working to provide a memorable day. |
| - Must plan to attend the rehearsal the day of graduation (schedule provided in advance). |
| - Ladies: Dresses or skirts must be a respectable length (no more than 2-3 in. above knee). Shirts, blouses or dresses must cover your midriff, chest and shoulders. (No strapless or spaghetti strapped anything!) |
| - Gentlemen: A clean respectful appearance. No low-rise or baggy pants will be permitted. |
|
- NO clothing or accessories with offensive pictures, symbols or sayings.
 |
| IFHS Scholarship Information: |
| Graduates can apply for the IFHS college scholarships which will be announced and awarded during the graduation ceremony. Applications must be postmarked by April 1st. References are required so don't wait until the last minute to ask for those! |
|
Each student will be allowed to submit brief information about their future plans, achievements, etc. for the PowerPoint Presentation.
In prior years, we collected PowerPoint information at registration time and then there were many changes submitted in later months. Now that we have an online registration system, we can wait for that information until the graduate's future plans have been confirmed.
The PowerPoint will appear across the large screens at the ceremony as the graduate walks across the stage.
You will be able to access this form online beginning in April. Once your student decides where he/she will be attending school, any awards received, etc. you can go in and complete the form. This form will be due by May 1st. We will e-mail you a reminder about going online to complete the form.
You will be given a copy of the PowerPoint to review when you arrive for rehearsal and can turn in any typo corrections. However, please understand that we can't retype every student's PowerPoint. This is why we are giving you until May 1st to complete the form - we should have very few corrections to make on Graduation Day. Thank you for your understanding. |
