Home School Legal Defense Association is a non-profit organization established to defend and advocate for home school freedoms in legal court issues, on Capital Hill, in state legislatures, in the media and fund research on home education. Their website has a colllection of research done on homeschooling that can be very helpful to media, parents, and concerned grandparents.
Although currently Indiana is considered a "low regulation state" as far as Indiana law, we have to be vigilant to keep our freedom. HSLDA has an attorney assigned to review all Indiana proposed legislation and notify homeschoolers on their e-list if there is a bill to be concerned about. Anyone can request to be on the E-lert Service which will keep you posted about legislative concerns in Indiana and federally.
