Indiana Association of Home Educators (IAHE) The Indiana Association of Home Educators (IAHE) is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 for the purpose of supporting and encouraging Indiana families interested in home education. As a state homeschooling organization, the IAHE maintains visibility with civil government leaders, monitors and seeks to influence the legislative process, publishes a quarterly magazine, and sponsors an annual state-wide home educators’ convention in Indianapolis and other events.
Indiana Home Educators Network (IHEN) "Helping Hoosiers Homeschool” in Indiana by providing resources, information, and networking via their website, Internet chats and very helpful E-lists where homeschoolers can post questions and get answers.
Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) promotes the healthy development of children and youth by serving organizations who work with youth. IYI has a library of youth-related materials, offer discounted training for leaders, grants for leaders to get training, free legal hotline to call for group related questions, and can help you network to find resources in your community, etc.
Learn More Indiana Resource Center (formerly ICPAC) Provides information for parents/teachers for K-12. Excellent site for preparation for high school planning and for students doing career exploration, financial aid searches, college profiles, and they coordinate the Indiana College Network publication, a listing of college classes students (including high schoolers) can take from home as independent study courses.
School Choice Indiana is a partnership of many different organizations, both local and national, seeking to advance the debate about increasing educational options for Indiana’s children. They are non-partisan and will work with anyone who is willing to engage in efforts that promote educational freedom for Hoosier families, educating the public, community leaders and policy makers on the positive impact that school choice can have on children, families, local communities and our state as a whole.
Youth Activity Klub (YAK) is a statewide social only club for Christian homeschooled teens 13-18 years of age. Teen must be in at least the 7th grade. There is not a membership fee. You will only pay for those activities you chose to participate. YAK has one activity per month including the Prom, a New Year's Bowling Blast, laser tag,cookouts, game nights, road rallies, etc. Some events are for 9th-12th graders only (like the Prom).
